About Toronto ICP
The Toronto Interreligious Communities Project (ICP) brought together nine diverse faith communities from across the Greater Toronto Area to open their sacred spaces, extend hospitality, and build lasting relationships rooted in mutual respect and understanding.
Launching in October 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the cohort met virtually for nearly two years — demonstrating that connection and compassion can transcend distance. The group completed their program entirely online and met in person for the very first time at their Solidarity Pledge signing, marking a moment of profound joy and unity.
Since completing the program, the Toronto ICP network has remained active and service-oriented. Members have partnered to support displaced families in finding housing and are leading a food pantry initiative to address hunger in the Regent Park community. Their ongoing collaboration stands as a powerful testament to what’s possible when faith communities come together across difference.
