About Stamford ICP
The Stamford Interreligious Communities Project (ICP) — part of Sharing Sacred Spaces’ third regional cohort in Fairfield County — brought together seven congregations from Stamford, Norwalk, and Greenwich. Launched in February 2020, the program transitioned to fully virtual gatherings by May 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and culminated in a Solidarity Pledge signing in June 2021.
Throughout this time, participating communities opened their doors — both physical and virtual — to one another, engaging in dialogue, storytelling, and reflection around their sacred spaces, traditions, and shared values. Despite the distance, the Stamford ICP became a symbol of resilience and interfaith connection during a time of global uncertainty.
The program was offered in collaboration with the Interfaith Council of Southwestern Connecticut, expanding participation in interreligious dialogue and strengthening community across Fairfield County.
