This is a high quality fine art print of the original art piece entitled "A Progression of Charity". The print captures the original painting by Jim Hastings, created for the Who Are our Neighbors? National Endowment of the Arts funded "Our Town" grant winner exhibit.
The painting lovingly portrays four scenes in the ife of Jim's daughter, Hanna, who was born with a very unique chromosome deletion. Because of this, she is mostly nonverbal, delayed in her physical and mental development, and challenged in other ways that make it difficult for her to lead a more independent life. But this doesn’t mean that she is unable to contribute to the society in which she lives. On the contrary, Hanna expresses love to people with absolutely no expectation of her kindness being recognized or repaid. She simply finds joy in loving others as her "neighbors." There are many disabled people who give back so much, but their contributions are overlooked because of their disabilities.
This gorgeous and inspirational piece is reproduced here as a high quality fine art print on matte paper, and with a 1" white border all around. Frame not included.
