Jennifer Byxbee

A 2021 a graduate of the Chicago Theological Seminary's Certificate Ministry Preparation program, Jenny serves at Second Congregational Church in Greenwich, Connecticut, in a new role designed to help the congregation rekindle a sense of community in a post-pandemic context and to lead children and families into active membership. A long-time presence in the town of Greenwich, she serves in a leadership capacity with the Greenwich Sentinel Foundation, and most recently served with Greenwich Chaplaincy Services during the pandemic.

 

​Prior to 2016,  Jenny was the Executive Director of the New Canaan Teen Center and the Director of Children's Ministries at Round Hill Community Church. She is most known to the community for her time with the Town of Greenwich as the Youth Services Bureau Administrator, where she was honored and recognized as a Community Health Hero by Greenwich Hospital, Youth Services Bureau Administrator of the Year with the state of CT and with the Greenwich Chamber of Commerce Michael Dunn Quality of Life Award.

 

Jenny and her husband Rich, an officer in the Stamford Police Department, are the proud parents of two daughters, Katie and Libby.
