About the Event
Come and meet the Parliament's Sacred Space Ambassador and get a taste of the Parliament of World Religions early!  This event is an exclusive  tour of The Morgan Model Collection, a set of 9 architectural models of sacred sites that teach of the particulars of religious space across difference while they shed light on the commonalities that also unite them.  The collection is on display at the Chicago Theological Seminary Library, which is where we will begin the event.
This event is also a celebration of the pioneering work of Suzanne Morgan, AIA, and Parliament of the World's Religions Sacred Space Ambassador, who has spent decades devoted to the practice of using sacred architecture for peace, which has inspired interreligious community-building programs across the continent through the organization Sharing Sacred Spaces, Inc. Â Following the models tour, The Rev. Dr. John Joseph Mastandrea from the United Church of Canada, Dr. Ibrahim Anli of The Rumi Forum in Washington DC, and Sharing Sacred Spaces' Executive Director, Dr. Vanessa Avery, will share about how sacred architecture is being used in their cities for creating unity and to make positive change.
