About the Event

Join us for the online premier of a fascinating film that explores beyond the architectural structure of the gorgeous Hsi Lai Chinese Buddhist Temple in Los Angeles, California. It delves into the heart of what a Buddhist temple is meant to be and its vision in the West.

This documentary film is the first in The Architecture of Faith series that journeys across worldviews, gets to the heart of religious community, and seeks our shared humanity in sacred space.

After the screening, stay for discussion and Q&A with scholar of Buddhism and Southeast Asia, Dr. Daniel Veidlinger, and Venerable Hui Ze Shih of Hsi Lai Temple. Moderated by Dr. Vanessa Avery, Executive Director of Sharing Sacred Spaces.

Note the screening time is 7pm Eastern / 6pm Central / 5pm Mountain / 4pm Pacific.
