About the Event
Come explore the beautiful, balanced, and graceful architecture at The Ismaili Jamatkhana in Plano. This architectural beauty will inspire you as you learn about the spiritual meanings infused in the space and meet the warm practitioners of this branch of Shi'a Islam.
This visit is run by Sharing Sacred Spaces in partnership with Thanks-Giving Foundation, The Dialogue Institute, and local congregational partners. It is part of the Interreligious Communities Project, Dallas, TX, which will include 8 visits to different sacred spaces over the course of 2024-2025. We create "experiences" in the program, in fact; not just visits. We go deep into the architectural design of each space, opening up new avenues for connecting the material and the spiritual. Members of each congregation will also share about their worldview, spiritual journeys, and history. We then share a meal and dialogue.
