Almas Muscatwalla, Project Coordinator and Curator

As a community leader, I am leading my dream life to learn and serve. As an Ismaili Muslim, I was taught that my relationship with the divine is best expressed through my relationship with the communities of peoples, cultures and faiths. In that spirit, I chose a life that empowers me to offer my most valuable resources: Time and my experience serving others.

 

For more than a decade, I have been blessed and honored to serve on the board of directors for The Thanks-Giving Foundation and I am a founding member of Faith Forward Dallas.

 

Additionally, I serve as a leader in outreach, educational, cultural and arts sectors of the community including the Islamic Art Revival Series, Texas Muslim Women’s Foundation, United Nations Association Dallas Chapter, DFW Muslim Jewish Advisory Council, and Compassionate DFW.

 

I hold a Bachelors of Arts degree in psychology and a Master of Science degree in childhood development from Bombay University. I’m a graduate of Plano Leadership, as well as Leadership Arts Institute (LAI). Currently, I’m continuing my educational journey through the Graduate Certificate Program at Southern Methodist University.

 

My husband and I have lived in Plano, Texas for twenty years and are the proud parents of sons Naeem and Nabeel. In my spare time, I like to travel, read, sing and discuss important issues with my friends and family.
