Nilaya Knafo, Program Officer

​

Nilaya Knafo is passionate about bringing people together to form community and has experience working at the intersection of religion, the arts, and human rights. She most recently served as a Senior Program Assistant at the United States Institute of Peace, where she led multifaceted training, education, and community engagement programs for youth peacebuilders and United Nations peacekeepers around the world.

 

Nilaya earned her BA in International Studies from American University and her MA in Religion from Yale Divinity School, where her research focused on interfaith relations and the evolution of sacred space during times of conflict.
