About New Haven ICP
The New Haven Interreligious Communities Project (ICP) brought together eight congregations across Greater New Haven for a year of learning, dialogue, and friendship. Launched in October 2018, the program invited participants to visit one another’s sacred spaces, explore their faith traditions, and build mutual understanding through guided storytelling and hospitality.
The program became an accredited course at Yale Divinity School, allowing graduate students to join local congregations in shared interreligious learning. It culminated on September 15, 2019, when all participating congregations gathered at Yale Divinity School to sign a Pledge of Solidarity — committing to stand together against hatred and bigotry.
